A motion tabled by Cllr Andy Moloney at the recent Tipperay Co Co monthly meeting to? have Irish Water suspend all charges until they provide a fit for purpose service? will be debated this evening in the Oireachtas. Cllr Moloney debated his motion last week and got the full backing of the council to make this recommendation to the Minister and was the first of the councils in the country to do so.
This forward thinking will now be reciprocated by the opposition parties in D?il ?ireann this evening and cllr Moloney is asking all Tipperary deputies including government TDs to follow the wishes of their party colleagues at local level and support the motion.
Irish water is farcical to say the least and the latest revelations about Bonus and Call out Charges is further proof that this company are in free fall and serious issues need to be addressed before progress can be made. Its time for the Tipperary TDs to back the County Councils decision.
