Tipperary Cup Result

Peake Villa 3 Cahir Park 2

Our interest in the tipp cup came to an end in Thurles on a terrible day for football

The home team took the lead after ten minutes when a lapse in concentration allowed the Villa centre forward in on goal a similar lapse ten minutes later lead to the second. To our credit we didn't drop our heads and we pulled one back on 25 mins we James Darcy pulled one back from the pen spot .The home team made it 3-1 on 40 mins.

Into the second half and we took over completely. On 65 mins Tom keating finished calmly from 12 yards to give us a lifeline but try as we might we couldn't find the equalizer Shane Murphy and Bunty Flannery both hitting the post in the closing stages.

Great credit to John and Jim and the team on a great performance.

Some Results From Saturday saw the youth team beat Clonmel Celtic 3 2,

Dylan Ryan and Dylan nuggent had us 2 up at half time. Aivaras Cicenas made it 3-1 and a late Celtic goal for 3-2.

Other results saw our U15s beat St Michaels 2 1 ,U13's lost 6-1 to Clonmel Town and

13 b's lost 3-0 to Peake Villa. Unfortunately the weather took its tool on some of the away fixtures.

Training continues for all teams this week and as always new members always welcome. The academy is on every Saturday morning at 9am. More info call 052 7443850.

The official Opening of our All-Weather pitch will take place in the coming months so we will be getting the official plaque for the 100 club fundraiser made up shortly. Anyone who wants to donate can do so through any committee member or call to the office. We would like to thank everyone who supported this so far. Also the walkway is looking great now that the clean up is complete. There is still some small planting to be done when the weather improves. Thanks to the local co council members, Tidy Towns, Seamus Conway, Billy Coffey and Niall Grogan for all your hard work with the walkway.
