Operation Transformation Cahir
Operation Transformation starts nationally again this coming weekend with a 5km walk and once again Cahir has been selected as a venue to host an advent. The Cahir Meet and Train group were among the first in the county to start some years ago and the group stayed together to go onto bigger and better things. Cahir Meet and Train is exactly what it says, just people meeting up and heading for walks and a jog, meeting new friends, socialising and generally getting fit for life and clearing the head after a long day. There is no charge but the group insist on a high Vis vest or there is no participation. The Cahir group start a new couch to 5km on Tuesday 3rd Jan and will run every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30 sharp and Saturday mornings at 9.30am. By Saturday 18th February you will be running your 5km on the final day of the RTE show. Cahir is lucky to be supported by the Cahir Men's Shed, Gardai and civil defence and was an initiative of Cahir Tidy Towns in the beginning as a fundraiser for the Shaun Fogarty Appeal and has since supported ICAN juvenile Arthritis and Cahir Day Care Centre. Tonight we will be briefed by a member of the Gardai about road safety and Next Saturday 7th Jan at 9.30am is a family event and even though its early it's a good opportunity for some fresh air.
