Cahir's New ALL Weather Pitch Get's Real Test

On Tuesday last, November 23rd, Cork Institute of Technology took on Limerick Institute of Technology (Tipperary Campuses) in Cahir.

The match was played on Cahir's new state of the art, full size all weather pitch, the first in the county of Tipperary.

The game was the first competitive adults match to be played on the pitch and the first goal came from Cahir man Caolan O Gorman to put LIT 1 - 0 up. LIT would add another inside the 15 minute mark.

But CIT weren't going to give up and pulled one back through a plenty and with 35 minutes gone we had a 2-2 draw on our hands.

Getting a fixture like this is a true testament to all the hard work put in to get this new Cahir facility off the ground in Cahir.

The second half saw great plays from both teams but Cork Institute of Technology dug deep and pulled away for a 5-2 victory. We wish both teams the best of luck with the rest of their games this year.
