The operation Transformation Meet & Train Group that was formed in January is still going strong although some have been away on holidays and are getting back into a bit of walking / jogging. We will head for Ballylooby on Thursday 21st August to walk/run in the 6km in aid of the Parish Hall fund. The entry fee is ?8 for the event and prizes will be on a predict your time basis so no watches are allowed. This event will start at 7.30pm so we need people to be registered around 7pm. We have a good few from Ballylooby in the group so it would be nice to see a bit of support please.
We will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays otherwise at 7.30pm for the foreseeable future and hope to run some mixed outdoor Zumba classes in the dark evenings. Anyone interested can let Andy know on 086-3609110 as we have limited space and this will be a fun event over 6 weeks while getting fit at the same time.
We will also be hosting a 4km walk on Wednesday 10th of September to coincide with World Suicide Day. This walk will be down the Ardfinnan Road to the Swiss Cottage and walk to the Coronation Walk through the Memorial Garden where many have memories of family members remembered. We will leave from the Castle Car Park and finish with some refreshments in Cahir House Hotel. All are welcome to join the Meet & Train at any stage and we will be starting in the new year with a new series of Operation Transformation in case anyone wants to get motivated for it now.
