Cahir Tidy Towns Notes

Another busy weekend for Cahir Tidy Towns as we put the finishing touches to th St Declan's Grove. The official opening will take place next Sunday 17th July at 3pm. Music will be provided by the members of the Tipperary Brass band and members of the Cahir Brass Band. This has been an huge undertaken for the Tidy Towns group and could not have been done without the help of the families who purchased a tree, the wheeler family, the Tipperary Co Co , The TUS scheme, Tree Fields Nursery, the Fire Services, Cahir Mens Shed and many others who coordinated the project. Special mention to Seamus Conway who was the gaffer on the project. The event will be officially opened by the new Mayor of the Clonmel Borough District, Cllr Andy Moloney and as Andy is the Chairman of the Tidy Towns Group we are delighted that he can perform the honours in an official capacity.

We also were involved in the stewarding of the Cahir Half Marathon at the weekend and continued with our litter picking and weeding. All roads lead to Cahir on Sunday for the official opening. St Declan's grove is part of the 100km walk from Cashel to Ardmore and the grove is situated behind the Fish in the Castle Car Park Cahir.
