Creative Minds Youth Productions is a voluntary theatre group directed by Jennifer Williams. This July they will be performing Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar in the White Memorial Theatre. Creative Minds was established by Jennifer Williams and Trevor Somers in November of 2015. The group's first production was Brian Friel's Lovers which ran over the course of 5 weeks in various venues including Raheen House, Gealach Gorm Theatre and Clonacody House. Superstar was officially launched on Thursday 19th of June in Clonacody House. It will run from the 17th to the 20th of July in The White Memorial Theatre, Clonmel. Tickets are €15 and are on sale from Monday 27th of June in Premier Music, Clonmel. The cast is made up of teenagers from Clonmel, Cashel, Cahir, Fethard and Tipperary town. The role of Jesus will be performed by Joe Sheehan. He is ably supported by Darragh Johnson (Judas), Sinéad O' Donovan (Mary Magdalene), Daniel Traas (Pilate) and many other fantastic young actors. JCS is being directed and produced by Jennifer Williams with musical direction from Eamon O' Malley and choreography by Rosie Mai Fitzgerald. The orchestra feature members of local band Supersoul Machine.This musical is partially funded by the Tipperary Arts Council.
