A great evening of soccer was played on Saturday when our ladies played Borris St Kevins in the Tipperary cup in the park. The teams were evenly matched and there was nothing separating them after full time. Tired legs and bodies faced into extra time with the possibility of penalties too. Both teams continued to battle brilliantly and the Cahir girls played with 10 for a while following an injury. In what was the last few minutes of play a ball was passed forward and Alison Lonergan ran onto it, steadied and kept us all watching as she seemed to round the keeper in slow motion before hitting the back of the net. Well done to Borris on a great game and best of luck for the rest of the season.Tonight the parks Ladies are at home and take on Clonmel Celtic in the league at 7.30pm. Your support is much appreciated. As it stands Cahir Park and Clonmel Celtic are tied at the top on 6 points.
