Cahir Meet & Train Group
he Cahir Meet & Train Group had an eventful weekend. The main body were at home to support the Cahir Day Care Centre 5km fundraiser. Thanks to the Cahir Men's Shed for their usual professionalism in stewarding the route. It's very much appreciated by our group and the organisers. Thanks also to the Gardai, Red Cross and Day Care committee who had a wonderful spread of food and refreshments after the event on Sunday last. The Day Care Centre is a wonderful facility in town and was well worth supporting. We had members in the Mallow 10mile run which was abandoned due to an unfortunate accident on the route. We had members also on the Slievenamuck Marathon and all did very well indeed. We will continue with training on Tuesday and Thursday's as normal and our target for April is the Morrisson 4 mile on the last Wednesday in April. Keep up the good work and continue to make progress. Finally, thanks to Francis Black for taking her time out to call to the Day Care Centre with the Chairman Andy Moloney and making time for photographs. She had tea with the committee and listened to the issues in the centre and if elected to the Senate she will be supporting mental health and older people issues.
