Cahir Park AFC Notes

Our Juniors hit a bump in the road when they travelled to Tipperary Town

We went one down after 10 minutes with the home team starting the better, Park came into it for the next ten minutes but got caught on the counter attack and fell 2 behind on 38 minutes. Five minutes into the second half we went 3 down a minute later it was 3 1 Tony Donoghue pulling one back within a minute it was 4 1 from the penalty spot, park got another with 20 minutes left Tony Donoghue got his second despite battling hard Park couldn't break down Tipp town defence.

Tipp Town (4) Cahir Park (2)

Just wasn't our day and after a great run of 9 games undefeated the boys will bounce back, heads up and onto next game.

Cahir park u14 girls lined out this morning against Tipperary town in what was a brilliant game of football. Tipperary town started stronger and went in at half time with a one nil lead. Both teams battled hard in the second half and there were lots of missed chances before Cahir got the equaliser and then went on to win the game 2-1. Great credit is due to both teams on their excellent display on the day. Team: A Burke, L Moloney, R Condon, R Kiely, N Mckenna, C Morrissey, S Morrissey, R Carey, C Poche.
