Reception for Cahir Girls confirmed

The Mayor of Clonmel Borough District, Cllr Pat English was in touch Monday evening with local Councillor Andy Moloney offer the congratulations of the Mayor's office to the Cahir Camogie Club on their heroic achievements on winning the All-Ireland Intermediate Final in Croke Park.

Councillor Moloney who is a Cahir Gaa lifelong supporter was able to confirm that the Mayor's office will extend a reception to the winning team and mentors in the near future.

While it will take some time for the victory to sink in, preparations can now begin for medal presentations before the new season kicks off. There were 17 of the girls on the panel last Sunday that were also part of a winning Munster Intermediate Football team who were beaten in the all-Ireland ladies final in Parnell Park earlier this season.

Although no date has been set for the Mayoral reception, it is just recognition for the Club who have achieved so much since their rebirth in 2001.

Once the Mayor, Pat English confirms the date there will be great excitement in the club who will mark another milestone in the clubs history.
