Cahir GAA Notes

Strictly Come Dancing

Friday 18th and Saturday 19th of March (keep them evenings free) Cahir GAA will hold our version of the now famous competition. On those dates with 17 couples taking part on both nights, all 17 couples are hard at work practicing their routines for what promises to be two great nights. Our 17 couples come from all backgrounds of all age groups and occupations, so a great mix of people are involved and all couples can't wait until they hit the stage, we will bring all the details as the weeks are getting closer (watch this space).

Sigerson Cup

We wish the best of luck to Liam Casey and UCD in the Sigerson Cup competition being played in Belfast this weekend.

Camogie notes

Don't forget our table quiz next Friday night, 19th in Shamrock Lounge at 8.30pm. Please come and support the team and help raise valuable funds for the club on our way to Croker, our Intermediate team had a challenge game against Laois intermediates on Saturday morning last in preparation for our all Ireland Club final. Thanks to Aidan Franks and his team for travelling down to play us and to all who helped with the teas after the game.

Ashbourne Cup

All in Cahir GAA would like to congratulate both Emma Buckley and Aisling McCarty who helped UL to beat UCC last weekend. (Do these guys ever get tired?), again well done ladies.

Draw the Joker

Con & Kelly O'Brien won €100. Other winners were Bridie Wilkinson, Margaret Burke, Yvonne O'Connor and Paul Burke. The draw was witnessed by Robert from the Cahir House Hotel. The Draw will be held next week in a venue to be decided with a Jackpot prize of €7,000.00. All are welcome.
