Councillor Andy Moloney who has raised the question about improvements to the bends approaching Ballydrehid School had his plea heard with the NRA in Dublin this week. The T.I.I ( old NRA) were sympathetic to the call for improvements and would have to investigate further. Moloney stated that this could take years and that someone could be seriously injured or worse while waiting. He has asked that the council look for permission from the NRA to take a slice from the bend to improve sight lines. The engineer agreed to go this route in the interim but said it would have to get approval from T.I.I., Moloney says that it would be a start and a big help if this much could be done.
