Vote of thanks

A vote of acknowledgement and appreciation was put before the Monthly meeting of Tipperary County Council yesterday by the Chairman and Clonmel Municipal Councillor,Andy Moloney.

Cllr Moloney wished to have the council record its appreciation for the Emergency Services and outdoor staff of the Council for the work that they carry out on a daily basis and especially during this very poor spell of weather. Moloney stated that if the truth be known that if the Gardai and the Fire & Emergency services supported by the council outdoor staff in the Cahir Area recently had not displayed some quick thinking and unselfishness we could have had a bigger tragedy on our hands.

Moloney also paid tribute to outdoor staff of the council in all districts who don't get half the credit the should at times especially in the run upto Christmas when most of us will be enjoying family time, that the outdoor staff are often called out to accidents, water leaks, fires etc when they would rather be at home enjoying the festivities.

A letter of such appreciation is to be sent to the men involved on behalf of the council and wished everyone well in the second half of the month of December.
