Cahir Park AFC Notes

Quite weekend this week due to most games be cancelled because of the poor weather.

Our Juniors game went ahead this morning after pitch was deemed playable.

Cahir Park (2) v Redmondstown (2)

The away side were the better team in the first half and scored in the 30 minute and went in at the break 1-0 up.

Cahir started the second half a lot better and got a deserved equaliser in the 54 minute with a fine strike from Liam Casey. Cahir were really dominating the second half but Remondstown Keeper pulled of some fine saves to stay in the Game. Cahir took the lead in the 77th minute through Willie Dunne. Remondstown started to fight back and kept Cahir on their toes but on the 85th minute they got there equaliser. Game finished 2-2 and Cahir were really unlucky not to take the 3pts if decisions had went their way.

Our u10 and u12 girls travelled to Tipperary town this morning to play their girls. The wind was very strong but both teams played really well in their respective games. Our u10 girls had a great time and enjoyed their first day out.

The U12 girls had a tough game and the Tipperary town girls defended well against them. Their keeper pulled off great saves before Katelyn Cunningham found the back of the net. Cahir girls secured the game with further goals. The game was great for both sides and thanks to Tipperary town for the morning's games. Well done to all the girls.
