Cahir gone Quackers.

The Cahir Tidy Towns Group have been very bust recently in preparation for the Judging this year. The Entry Form will be completed just in time and hopefully achieve better marks this year once again. In the past few years we have seen many improvements but with the lack if an economic plan for the town we seem to see some units starting to look derelict.

Hopefully the work on the Mill recently will be a help and our thanks to all involved.

Its not all about weeds and flowers but it helps and we have launched our local Competition for 2014 with the earlier closing date of 11 July and Entry Forms have been dropped into all shops in the town as well as private dwelling in a bid to help Cahir gain the marks.

The Cahir Abbey Cemetery walls are going to have the railing fitted next week and this will now go into next year?s plan as will the Ice House which we didn?t get a chance to start.

Our help in starting the Residents Committee in Lakeview and D?nuisce has paid dividends already as we have qualified for a few quid to provide a composting area and some mallard ducks for the Lake. These Ducks will be released next month and the notes in this paper will let you be aware of when.

Our thanks also to the council staff for their help recently with the truck and also to Davy who did a great job on the Tipperary Road.

Anyone checking in on Facebook will see that we are making a short clip to the ?Happy? tune and want all groups in the town involved.
