U14 Girls Cahir (1) Clerihan (2)

Sunday Morning in Duneske Cahir girls played Clerihan nothing could separate the the sides at HT 0-0

Clerihan came out the stronger and went 1-0 up on 40 minute. Cahir girls started to press hard and got caught on the break and Clerihan went 2-0 up on the 50 minute. In fairness to Cahir they didn't give up and got one back on the 55 minute through Robyn Carey. Cahir had Clerihan on the back foot in the last few minutes of the game but just couldn't get the equaliser.

Great standard of football show by both sides.

U14 boys were home to Burncourt /Vee and came away with a hard fought win with a score line of 4-0. This victory saw the lads put the disappointment of their last match to rest. We led 1-0 at half time from a Liam O Neill cross which was unfortunately turned in by their own player with 2 Cahir Park players waiting if he had missed it. Sorry Liam, can't give it to you.

The game was physical and fair throughout and every player had to perform, which they did. Darragh Brennan scored the next two and unlucky to not get his hat trick (well done Burncourt /Vee keeper). Zack Keating finished the scoring.

ALL players put in the work to make up the scoreline. Adam GK communicated well from the back . The defence of Liam, Cian, Ciaran and Cody not only defended well but frequently launched the attacks. The midfield of Zack , Hichem, Chris and Tadhg also defended well whilst supporting the attack of Darragh and Francie, who was unlucky not to score himself. Our subs of Sean and Keane only added to the strength and depth of the team.

U12 SFAI National Cup

Cahir Park 6 - 3 Deen Celtic

This was a really entertaining game played by two very evenly matched teams. Evin O Regan gave us the lead after 6 minutes and we looked well in control at this stage but midway through the half Deen Celtic scored twice to take the lead. Then approaching halftime disaster struck as a deflected free wrong footed our keeper to leave us 2 down at the break.

The second half didn't start very well for the lads as Deen Celtic played really well, only for some last ditch defending and 2 great saves by Eoghan Doyle it could have been much worse. It really didn't look like it'd be our day when the away team cleared a great chance off their line. A great run and finish by Francie McDonagh finally pulled one back for the Park with 10 minutes left. When Jack Morrissey levelled with 5 minutes left there was only going to be one winner as the home team took over. Evin O Regan got his hat trick with 2 quick goals before Jack Morrissey finished the scoring right on full time.

Well done to the young lads who never gave up and got their just rewards, this was a really great squad performance.

U12B's get their well deserved win these boys have had a rocky start to the season but every week they work harder and harder and they are now getting there just rewards.

They played Peake Villa and went 2-0 up in the first half, first goal came from Barry O'Halloran, second from Mark Flanagan. Peake Villa pulled one back before half time. The sides were pretty evenly matched though. Cahir stayed strong in the opening minutes of the second half and went 3-1 up with another goal from Barry O'Halloran. Villa fought back to bring it to 3-2 with 10 minutes left to play, Cahir held their ground and missed a couple of chances in the last minutes but defended well to stop Villa equalizing. A great match all round from both teams but a well deserved win for the Park.

Keep it going boys and well done to the management team looking at the smiles on their faces makes it all worthwhile !! (Attached Photo)
