Cahir Park AFC Notes

Juniors travelled to Kilsheelan this morning and went down 2-1

We got off to the worst possible start going one down after only two minutes the 1st half was very even after that with both sides having half chances but there was no further score in the half .... The second half was also very even we created the better opportunities but fell 2 behind while having our best spell with 20 mins left... We kept plugging away and pulled one back through a Johnny Coveney header with ten minutes left try as we might we just couldn't get the equaliser... Credit to the lads for keeping going to the end.

U14 girls travelled to Tipp Today with an early 10am KO Cahir started the brighter and got an early goal through Robyn Carey in the 5th minute. Tipp town got one back on the 15th minute through Megan Ryan. Cahir struck again just before half time with a strike from Rosanna Kiely.

Second half started very tight with some great defending from both sides but it was Tipp that got that vital goal from Leah Cremins

Credit to both sides never gave up and game finished 2-2 which was a fair result as there was nothing between both sides.

Big win for our U12s today in the Skechers SFAI national cup proving way to strong for our visitors from Wexford.
