Excalibur remembered in Cahir

Cahir Tidy Towns Chairman Andy Moloney is seeking the assistance of the people of Cahir that were involved as extras or in any way part of the making of the Film Excalibur in Cahir Castle back in 1980. Philip Quinn who has been doing some great work in the Inch Field with wood Carvings in the recent weeks is doing a cast of the Excalibur Sword and is looking for those who were involved to come to the Inch Field next Sunday 4th October from 12 to 1pm to sign a sword so that he can go away and make a cast of it. This sword will then be placed as a monument in town and will highlight the films that were made in Cahir over the years. If you were a digger driver, a horse handler and extra or just a gateman please come along and sign the sword. If you cannot make it please contact Andy on 0863609110 so we can arrange an alternative time if possible.

Philip Quinn of Stonemad Carving and stonework has added new life to the Inch Field and this opportunity should be taken next Sunday to sign the sword. Please spread the word to whoever you think needs to know.
