Cahir Tidy Towns and Meet & Train
The Cahir tidy towns group are biting their nails this week in anticipation of the 2015 results. The big panic every year is to see if we increased in marks but a slippage would be devastating. We have gained over the past 6 years now and we would like to think we would this year would be no different. The target for a national honour in 2016 would be a reality then. The local awards will be announced on Saturday 10th in the Shamrock Lounge and we would like to thank our 4 external judges for continuous assessment over the summer. Judging is complete locally so it's time to put away any struggling baskets. We would like to thank Bishop Alphonsis for his blessing of the abbey last week and his attendance along with the Tradfest and historical society added great buzz to the town at an otherwise quiet time of year. Congrats also to Denis Ryan who opened his new shop on castle street and to all the members who helped with the Tipp fm sale for Syria. A date for your diary is sat 12 dec for the Christmas party night. Meet & Train GroupWell done to those taking part in the women's mini marathon in such great numbers.
