Junior A hurling comes to an end

Wednesday the 2nd we played Killenaule in the quarter final of the Championship in Ned Hall Park, a must win game for both sides. Both teams started well with some fine scores taken, but by the time we reached the end of the first 30 minutes Cahir were down by three points, on a score of Cahir 1-5 Killenaule 1-8, the second half was a more hurried affair, with Cahir putting up a great battle in a very hard contest, with the lads adding another 2-05 to their half time tally sadly not enough to win the match, final score Cahir 3-10 Killenaule 1-20. The club would like to thank all the players for their hard work over the last few months, A thank you also to our management and selectors and everyone that helped out our junior hurling team in any way, a well-deserved break for some of the lads but not for all as the u21 hurling championship will start soon for a lot of players from this team and we wish them well in that. The team and scorers were as follows: Keelan Hickey, Oisin Moloney, Kieran O'Dwyer, Ger Hally, Brendan Donaghy, Eoin Donaghy, Ryan O'Donnell, Aaron Murphy, Aidan Casey (1-1), Tom O'Gorman (0-1), Conor Cashman (1-0), Mikey O'Connor, Noel O'Gorman, Daire O'Brien (1-0), Ryan Murphy (0-8).
