Determination wins in Goatenbridge

Our junior hurling team played Newcastle in the championship last Friday evening (Aug. 7th). Although Cahir started slowly, some fine points were exchanged between both teams, but a goal by Newcastle saw Cahir going to the break down by four points 0-07 to 1-08. After the restart Cahir got to grips with the task before them and with great heart and skill, and a goal by Noel O Gorman from a great Conor Cashman pass, Cahir turned the game around and went on to win the match on a score of 1-15 to 1-12, great to see a gutsy performance well done to all involved. The team and scorers were as follows: Johnny McMahon, Stephen McGrath, Kieran O'Dwyer, Oisin Moloney, Brendan Donaghy (0-1), Eoin Donaghy (0-2), Ryan O'Donnell, Conor Casey (0-2), Tom O'Gorman (0-1), Aaron Murphy, Dean Lonergan (0-1), Johnny B. O'Brien, Daire O'Brien, Noel O'Gorman (1-0), Ryan Murphy (0-8). Subs Used: Ger Hally, Conor Cashman, Liam Meehan (0-1).

Speedy recovery

Heart break for our club man Munster and Ireland rugby star Tommy O Donnell who had a bad injury last Saturday playing against Wales, this is very bad luck for Tommy as (we believe) this injury will take him along time to recover from, the club would like to wish Tommy a fast recovery and again just to say hard luck.
