The Healy-Rae dynasty were never going to be quiet come election time.
So should we be too surprised to find election posters for Danny and Johnny Healy-Rae on top of Ireland?s highest mountain?
Posters for the father and son team are currently on top of Carrauntoohill, Co Kerry.
And while their opponents might not be too happy with their move, Kerry County Council both independent candidates were ?perfectly entitled? to put posters where they pleased since Wednesday ? the day when posters for the local and European elections were first permitted.
It?s not clear when the posters were placed.
However, both Healy-Raes said they didn?t trek to the top of the mountain to put them there as they?re too busy canvassing on the ground.
Both have promised the posters will be removed come the seven-day post election deadline.
Posters for both the elections are now familiar sights throughout the country.
But whether any of them will hit the same heights as the Healy-Raes remains to be seen .
