Cannonball Run Cahir

A huge thank you has to go to Gerry Niland and all the members of the Men's Shed who did a wonderful job making the Wishing Well for the Cannonball Run Cahir. This wishing well will be used to collect money for the Cannonball charity the "Make A Wish Foundation" who grant wishes of children aged between 3 and16 years living with life threatening conditions. Well done Men on a great project towards a great cause so look out for the Wishing Well at all further Cannonball events and remember the slogan on the well " make a wish and do not tell, drop a few euro in the wishing well".

The businesses who sponsored the Segway's for the St.Patricks Day parade for Cannonball also have to be thanked. They are Morrisson BMW, The Gatehouse Bar, Direct IT Computer sales and service, The Big 1 & Buttimer Engineering not forgetting the ladies and gent who took time out to learn to use them and took part in the parade. Well done all your contribution was great fully appreciated.

The next function for Cannonball/Make A Wish is Phil "the power "Taylor darts event in Cahir House Hotel on Saturday 29th March from 3-6pm. Pre-purchased tickets ?10pp/Tickets bought on the day ?15pp. All tickets available from Hotel reception 052/7443000

For all you Ladies out there why not book your ticket for our Ladies Who Lunch event which is on Sunday 13th April from 2-6pm in Cahir House. Avril Mulcahy the modern Matchmaker of the "Afternoon TV Show "will be there on the day to join in the fun. There will be a full sit down meal along with music, fun and games and we have a wonderful prize of two nights B&B and evening meal in the beautiful 5 star Glenlo Abbey hotel Galway to give away.
