Back To Education Initiative (BTEI) Spring / Summer Courses for 2014

Knockanrawley Resource Centre, Tipperary Town in conjunction with the Tipperary Education and Training Board are currently recruiting for our Back To Education Initiative (BTEI) Spring / Summer Courses for 2014.

The Back to Education Initiative provides part-time further education programmes for young people and adults who haven?t completed a second level education or are in receipt of a social welfare payment. The aim is to give people an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities

Both Horticulture and General Learning courses will take place at Knockanrawley Resource Centre.

Horticulture course- This is a Level 4 which is equivalent to a Leaving cert standard. This course is a real hands on course where learners get to prepare beds, plant seeds and maintain the plants as they mature, while also gaining a lot of knowledge.

General Learning ? Learning for everyday living. This course provides a return to education for those who want to develop basic skills in maths/reading/ writing and computers. Other subjects included are Cookery, Growing vegetables etc

These courses will run in the mornings, Mon ? Fri (days to be decided ) These courses are free of charge. Subsidised Childcare is available at our Daisychain Childcare Centre for ?3 per morning. Participants will retain their social welfare entitlements.
