Operation Transformation Notes

The Operation Transformation Cahir group had their first weigh in last Thursday night and a whopping 9 stone was lost by the group.

This coming week we cant expect to see as much but great credit is due to everyone. Last weekend we held a 5 km walk to coincide with the National Operation Transformation Walks and it was great to see so many turn up especially with the buggies and dogs etc.

It was a nice family outing.there are organised walks every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday leaving Duneske at 7.45 and these are free to everyone to join in.

The difference with the Monday evening walk is that in Duneske we have an option to take to the field to do some running/walking but everyone is capable of doing this as there is no pressure. Aine Roche is helping to get the fitness levels up so that we will be able to complete the 5km with comfort at the end of the 8 weeks. Last week we had former all-star, Declan Browne to help out and we are grateful for his assistance. The whole OT is based around loosing weight and getting fit and in doing so we have sponsorship cards for the Shaun Fogarty Fund.

These can be collected or anyone making a donation can do so at Duneske Leisure Center.Next week we hope to have current Tipperary Hurler Padraig Maher call to help in the Monday Club and boost the the put on the old runners and join us for the walk or run and its Free to join in.
