Cahir Tidy Towns started back litter picking last Wednesday night and there was a lot of litter around since our last pick before the Christmas.
Efforts were focused on the Clonmel side of the Town and this week will switch to the Cork side. It has become very noticeable that dog poo in certain areas of the town is starting to become an epidemic. We have erected 4 dispensers with poo bags and the Cahir Childcare Group have one at the entrance to the playschool in the park. Dog owners are asked to give consideration to Wheelchair users and pram pushers and clean up after their dog. In most cases if the dog could clean it up i bet they would.
Elsewhere we have a lot of members trying to shed the pounds in the Operation Transformation and we wish them the best of luck with it. We are delighted to be associated with the OT and the Shaun Fogarty Fund on this venture and all the crew will be fit as fleas for the coming season. The bed is complete on the Clonmel Road entrance sign and we will now move to the Tipp Road. this will be the third such sign in the town and we thank Super Value for the sponsorship of these beds.
Litter picking this Wednesday night at 7pm from the market Yard for anyone not involved in the walking for the OT.
