Moloney welcomes road and cycle lane improvements

Cllr Andy Moloney has complimented the commitment of the council for the new cycle lane on the Clogheen Road and improvements to the general area of Barrack Street and the Mill Cottages Junction.

Following successive motions by the local councillor who has been active in promoting cycle and walking lanes around town, he thanked the Cahir Area engineer for following up on these works and looks forward to the final product.

Walking routes at Lisava have been created by using graded road shavings and should help the Tidy Towns Group in their entry this year.

A design study was carried out on the town and all the works carried out will be part of the overall town plan.

Over the coming weeks, we will see more works in the town that will help both the motorist and pedestrians. While some of these proposed works have been coming for some time we are delighted to have them completed before the summer in time for the busy Tourist Season.
