Cahir GAA Club would like to offer our condolences to the Gallagher family and extended family of the late Cathal (Valleymount, Wicklow and Beech Park, Cahir) RIP. Our thoughts are with the Gallagher family and extended family at this sad time, may Cathal rest in peace.

Draw the Joker

Last Sunday evening it was the turn of Morrissey's Bar to hold our draw, our Jackpot was €9,000 and not won, so next Sunday evening our jackpot will be €9,200, what a sum of money to win with just a couple of days to go before Christmas, so you know what to do make sure you get your tickets in plenty of time before the draw next Sunday evening, which will be held in the Shamrock Lounge, and it will be the last draw before Christmas Day, back to this week's draw thanks to Brian and his staff for accommodating us on the night where we always feel welcome, this week's winners are as follows,: Larry Walsh, Helen Casey, Charlie English, Caroline Murphy & Rebecca Murphy.

This is our last newsletter for 2018, hard to believe twelve months have passed us by, we would like to thank you all for reading our notes every week and we hope we brought you enough news throughout the year, thank you to all who contributed pieces to our newsletter and please remember we still want to hear from you all if you have something to add to it, we would also like to hear from you if you have any suggestions for us to improve our weekly news, please feel free to email the address at the end of this week's letter, before we go we would like to thank a few people who support us during the year, to all who support our Joker draw, the County Draw, to all who come to our matches, to all our players from Senior to U6's in football and hurling, our Juvenile club, our Camogie club and our Ladies football club for all the effort in many different events during the year, to our Chairman Pat O' Brien, all club officers and committee members, to all our coaches, mentors and managers for their time, to all our wonderful dancers who done themselves and our club proud when we brought you our version of Strictly come dancing 2018, to the 2 Johnnies for their show back in March and their performance at Strictly this year (we wish them the best of luck with their upcoming tour), to all our sponsors who were so good to us again this year, to all the pubs who entertain us with the Joker draw every Sunday, to Maria Caplice Taylor, Gareth at Cahir news without them we could not get our news out there, to Tipperary Mid-West radio, and to all of you the dear public and supports we thank you for your continued support and loyalty over the years, without you our club could not survive, so again we thank you, “ It's funny when we thank everybody we usual leave out someone or some event, so just in case we did, thank you to everybody who has done anything for Cahir GAA Club over the past twelve months”, we have ambitious plans for 2019 which we will need all your help with, but that's for another day, well! the start of next year!, but for now on behalf of everybody in Cahir GAA Club we would like to wish you and your families a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year, and for our club A winning New Year.
