Cahir Santa Run 2018

The Cahir Meet and Train Group held a very successful International Santa Run last weekend with over 100 participants running through the town is full colour. As this event tied in with the Culture Day in town it was great to see a good few non Irish participants.

The proceeds of the run were going to assist in the cost of the extra Christmas Lights and the wet weather didn't dampen the spirits of the runners.

The route started at Carrigeen Castle and came through the town turning right at the Hotel down to the Swiss Cottage and finished at the Dovecote.

The race was won by Conor Ryan in under 17 minutes and Aine Roche was the First Lady home. There were best outfit prizes sponsored by ABP and our thanks to Barry Donovan for his presentations on the day. Thanks also to Tina Looby for her help and the Garda presence for their assistance in Traffic Management. The event was marshalled by John and Eoin from civil defence who saw everyone home safely. Thanks to all our own helpers on the day with tea and stewarding.
