Cahir Tidy Towns Group
The Cahir Tidy Towns Group have probably been judged at this stage but would be hoping that the marks were high enough for a second visit. Great progress has been made again this year and there is done great colour around with plenty of shops making a huge effort on painting and floral arrangements. It's great to see the increase in number of tourists around town and hopefully all businesses will get a spin off. The rowing club add to the spectacle as they train on the river during the week and the new slip to be commenced this week at the Parochial Hall should help immensely. The canoe club have another run to Ardfinnan this Sunday from the inch field and the hire of canoe, BBQ and trained instruction for the morning will cost you ?30.This Saturday is the walk from Cashel to Cahir as part of stage 1 of St Declan's Way and cost of bus to Cashel and registration(insurance) etc is ?15 on line with Knockmaoldown active. A good umber of members will be participating as we are progressing plans on our own St Declan's Way.The closing date for the local competition is Friday 31st and entry forms can be got from the Enterprise Centre or Super Valu. Our Main source of income is next weekend as we have secured our permit for the Annual a Church Gate collection.
