Cahir GAA Club want to offer our condolences to the families and extended families of the following who all past away recently, Pearl O'Keeffe RIP, Phil Coffey RIP, and Mary Burke (Altavilla) RIP, our thoughts are with all families at this sad time, may Pearl, Phil and Mary rest in peace.

Strictly come dancing Cahir 2018

Cahir GAA Club are putting on our version of Strictly come dancing on the Friday 30th of November and Saturday 1st of December, (Saturday now sold out) the dancers are hard at it perfecting their dances for the two nights, our MCs for the two nights are the 2 JOHNNIES which promises to be something special, tickets are now on sale for both nights and selling fast, the cost per ticket is €20 each, and are on sale from club officers, Cahir House Hotel, John Quirke Jewellers, the Heritage, and Towns park Filling station, and of course all the dancers, this is our biggest fund raiser for the year and we thank you in advance for your support of these two great nights, we hope to see you all there. Draw the Joker

This week it was the turn of Morrissey's Bar to host our joker draw, Brian and Mags looked after us well as usual, this week's winners: Anne Flood, Mary Heffernan, Willie O'Gorman, Jimmy Casey & Tiarnan McLoughlin.

Congratulations to our U9 team who won the John Maher Shield last bank holiday Monday, well done to all the players and mentors, great achievement,

County Draw

The November draw was held last Friday evening, we had one winner of €500 which went to Theresa Curran, congratulations Theresa spend it well! The big prizes are still eluding us, fingers crossed the December draw might be the one, good luck in that draw everyone, and thanks for joining with us.

Congratulations to Francie Mc Donagh, Captain of the Under 14 South Divisional Team, Francie will be representing his Club at the Captains Night in the Horse & Jockey Hotel on Sunday 11th November, well done to Francie, a huge achievement for you and your family.


Hurling Parish League commenced last Saturday with 6 Teams taking part, this will run for 4 weeks with the final taking place on Sunday 25th November


Sunday 11th November

We will be holding a U16 Hurling Tournament on Sunday 11th November.

Not all teams have confirmed but we are hoping to have up to 12 teams participate on the day, matches will be starting from 10am in the Main Filed and Duneske, In conjunction with this Tournament we will also be holding a Coffee Evening after Mass on Saturday night and throughout the day on Sunday, from 8am after Mass in the Club Rooms, all donations of sandwiches, cakes, biscuits etc. would really be appreciated, All proceeds will be donated to Cahir Day Care Centre.
