More Cahir Estates to be taken in Charge

Following on from the recent successful applications to have Farranahassery Estates in Cahir Taken in Charge, Cllr Andy Moloney received word at this months meeting that Rosemount gardens, Woodlands, Rosemount Heights and Rosemount Farm which consists of Avenue, Drive,View and Close are now with Irish Water awaiting agreement of a site Resolution Plan.

Councillor Moloney welcomed the news and said that its great to see these estates progressing swiftly along.

Although we are a bit away yet, he said that getting the application in early was the key to the progress made and thanked the residents for their cooperation.

If an estate is not taken in charge then Airtricity, Irish Water or Council will not enter the estate and the selling of a property in such an estate becomes more difficult.

Once this lot are over the line, the town of Cahir should be fully in charge. Once this process is complete then it's important that all estates set up a residents committee to avail of many grants and assistance available to them. At the moment Hillview Crescent have had a meeting to get started and The Oaks, Comeragh Crescent, Lakeview and Galtee View should Meet and organize a committee of which Moloney said he is available to assist.
